‘Forest Pansy’ Eastern Redbud

Native. Cercis canadensis Eastern Redbud ‘Forest Pansy’ 25-30′. Upright tree, similar to our native species in shape and size but with wonderful wine red foliage. Pink flowers bloom along the branches in early spring before the leaves emerge. Fall color often includes attractive shades of reddish purple to orange.


‘Merlot’ Eastern Redbud

Native. Cercis canadensis ‘Merlot’ Eastern Redbud tree 12-15′. An early spring flowering tree ideal for southern landscape plans with dark purple, lustrous foliage. ‘Merlot’ is similar to the well known ‘Forest Pansy’ variety yet ‘Merlot’ has thicker, glossier leaves and excellent drought tolerance which stand up our summer Georgia heat. Dense, tight, dense growth with a rounded canopy. Deciduous, a best idea for the front yard or small space gardens.

Weeping Redbud ‘Ruby Falls’

Native. Cercis canadensis ‘Ruby Falls’. A stunning red leaf redbud with a beautiful weeping form. ‘Ruby Falls’ can be used as a focal point in a landscape design and will provide multiple season interest. In spring, dark pink flowers appear along the branches, in summer, you have gorgeous wine red foliage and in winter time the bare tree branches provide an interesting shape. ‘Ruby Falls’ weeps fully with cascading limbs and still features the heart shaped leaves of a redbud tree.

Eastern Redbud

Native. Cercis canadensis Eastern Redbud tree species 15-20′. The classic green leaf eastern redbud for southern landscapes. This green redbud has heart shaped leaves and the lovely lavender pin flowers these trees are known for. Prefers a little afternoon shade but will tolerate full sun.
