Kinsey Family Farm Eastern Redbud Rising Sun

‘The Rising Sun’ Eastern Redbud Tree

Native. Cercis canadensis Eastern Redbud ‘The Rising Sun’. A stunning introduction, this cultivar features the beautiful purplish pink early spring flowers of an Eastern redbud before leaves emerge. When the new foliage begins to fill in, ‘The Rising Sun’ puts in a show. New growth on this cultivar is soft apricot orange which will develop into bright yellow, then into pale greenish yellow green, and finally mature into deeper green. Since all of these colors are present on the tree at on time, ‘The Rising Sun’ will be a show stopper in any landscape. A great small tree for the front yard.
