Perennials: Peony

Paeonia x ‘Primevere’ peony. A Japanese style peony with large white guard petals, lemon yellow, narrow center petals which gradually fade to white as the flower matures.


Kinsey Family Farm Shirley Temple Peony

Shirley Temple peony. Clump forming perennial huge, double white blooms that show a touch of rose color. The fragrant flowers of Shirley Temple are held on upright, erect stems. A lovely, old fashioned plant for a romantic southern garden. Easy maintenance.


Sarah Bernhardt peony. A classic which has long been a gardener’s favorite. Huge double blooms in a beautiful pink that has occasional flecks of a deeper pink running through the petals. Sarah Bernhardt peonies are fragrant. Grows well in the south in sun or light shade.


Sarah Bernhardt Red peony. Large double red flowers on strong stems. Best when planted in dappled sun and given sufficient water. The red variety blooms shortly before Sarah Bernhardt. Easy care perennial and a fast healthy grower, foliage is dark green.


Kinsey Family Farm Karl Rosenfield Peony

Karl Rosenfield peony. The deep red, double petals on Karl Rosenfield are a classic in the romantic cottage garden. One of our favorite varieties, preforms well in Georgia gardens. Fragrant flowers in mid spring form over a clump forming mound of glossy green foliage. Easy to grow in sun or part shade.


Tree Peonies – A tree peony is woody perennial shrub which blooms earlier than the classic garden peony. Their woody structure allows them to stand upright. Tree Peonies produce the large, dinner plate size flowers and are show stopping in a landscape. Our nursery carries them in limited supplies.
