Southern Wax Myrtle is a great idea for out of they way borders and property edges where you can leave it alone to grow as it will. In a more formal landscape it will need pruning and will tolerate poor soils and is great as a hedge in difficult to reach areas. Non-showy flowers attract pollinators and fruit is eaten by birds, Southern Wax Myrtle is a valuable plant a habitat garden.
