Description
Stunning outdoor statuary of Pan or a satyr holding a classic Pan flute. The Satyr Statue is wrapped in a robe with a bare upper body and grapes as an additional decorative element. The grapes and vines are a symbol of the god’s love of wine and fun. The base harrows at the bottom and over his bearded face is a flat surface. The Satyr Statue is ornamental only. If used as a pedestal, be aware that it could be top heavy.
A Satyr is an ancient woodland god from mythology. In Greek myth satyrs were depicted as having the body man with the ail and ears of a horse. Roman stories show a satyr a man with a goat’s legs, horns, ears and tail.
