A garden urn plant pot with a unique twisted pattern running up the vessel sides. The Quadrille Urn Planter has deep ridges with a flat top surface that spin as they reach the rim of the plant pot. The upper rim folds in two steps to gather the twisted swirls together in a band and the body is raised on a pedestal riser. This planter has an artistic, almost art deco quality which can blend in contemporary designs for modern decorating settings or formal European gardens with a traditional style. The quadrille is a lively dance which was popular in late 18th and 19th century Europe and European colonies. With the quadrille, two couples would form a couples in a rectangular formation. Later this style would be applied to to American square dancing. The Lancers is a variation of the quadrille.
