Viburnum × burkwoodii 'Mohawk'. In early spring glossy, dark red flower buds are ornamental for several weeks before opening to white flowers. 'Mohawk' has strong, spicy, clove like fragrance which will perfume the air around it. The glossy deep green foliage is attractive during the summer and in fall, foliage on Viburnum × burkwoodii ' 'Mohawk' turns a bright orange red. Black berries appear in autumn. Deer resistant.

Viburnum plicatum 'Summer Snowflake', Doublefile, Japanese Snowball. A compact, dense, upright, deciduous shrub with red horizontal branches. With a primary blooom time of spring, profuse, flat topped creamy white flowers appear, then 'Summer Snowflake' will produce sporadic blooms throughout the summer. In late summer red orange berry like drupes will appear and mature to black. The fruits are attractive to birds and wildlife. NATIVE! Viburnum nudum 'Brandywine'™. Also called possumhaw viburnum or smooth witherod. 'Brandywine'™ is a more compact Viburnum nudum cultivar suitable for small space gardens. Flat topped flower clusters in spring are followed by colorful berries in autumn. The fruits ripen in shades of pink and blue, both colors may be found in the same cluster. Viburnum nudum 'Brandywine'™ has fall colors of deep red to maroon.

NATIVE! Viburnum nudum 'Winterhur'. Also called possumhaw viburnum or smooth witherod. A rounded, multi stemmed, upright spreading shrub well suited for our Georgia climate. 'Winterhur' displays white, flat topped clusters of flowers in spring and glossy deep green leaves in summer. During the fall the plant puts forth clusters of berries which change color as they ripen, going from pink to deep pink to blue to purple black. The berries are readily eaten by birds. In autumn the fall color on 'Winterhur' is deep reds to purples.
