Spiraea thunbergii 'Fujino Pink'. An old fashioned looking, delicate garden shrub with apple blossom, light pink flowers along wispy branches. Flowers are small and wreath like. 'Fujino Pink' is lovely in flower during spring and in summer bears light yellow green foliage on the slender branches. 'Fujino Pink' has a gracefully arching, multi-stemmed form. Remove older non-flowering canes to encourage new growth.

Spiraea japonica 'Goldmound'. Deciduous dwarf shrub, grow in full sun. Clusters of light pink flowers on dramatic foliage. Leaves are a bright yellow gold in spring, yellowish green in fall and finally a yellow orange during autumn. With its dwarf size, 'Goldmound' is a best pick for a small space garden. It will add color to a perennial garden or border all summer and can contrast beautifully with darker leaf shrubs. When used as an accent plant, 'Goldmound' will add brightness to the landscape.
