Beni Otake Japanese Maple

‘Beni Otake’

Acer palmatum ‘Beni Otake’ linearilobum upright tree to 15′. Leaves emerge a medium red color which it will remain well into the summer months. Later in the season foliage changes to a bronze green then finally green. For the second growth cycle at summer’s end new red growth appears along branch ends layering over the mature green leaves for a dramatic overall look. Fall color is crimson. ‘Beni Otake’ has an attractive vase shape when young which eventually forms a rounded canopy. ‘Beni Otake’ is tolerant of warm climates and a best pick for our southern gardens.

Biho Japanese Maple Tree


Acer palmatum ‘Bihou’ Japanese Maple. ‘Bihou’ is best known for its bright yellow bark. This yellow bark contrasting brightly with red buds will create pop in your landscape. New leaves are chartreuse with a red edge and will turn a medium green for summer. Fall color is yellow and orange. In winter ‘Bihou’ shines when the bark turns a brilliant orange yellow. Bloodgood Japanese Maple Tree


Acer palmatum atropurpureum ‘Bloodgood’ Japanese Maple. Large upright tree 15- 20′, one of the red leaf we carry in our nursery and a hardy specimen for Georgia landscapes. ‘Bloodgood’ has a beautiful, round shape canopy, making it well suited to residential landscapes as a front yard or specimen tree. ‘Bloodgood’ is a popular choice because of the large foliage which will remain red for most of the summer. Leaves can take on a green tint during hot weather. The trunk is a picturesque gray and suited for highlighting with spotlights at night. Fall color is reddish. ‘Bloodgood’ is a dependable grower in southern gardens.
