NATIVE! Betula nigra River Birch 'Whit XXV' 'City Slicker'. Finally there is a white birch for the south! 'City Slicker' River Birch is a new variety which shows extremely white bark as it matures. It is a cultivar with good vigor, drought tolerance and the classic, peeling bark of a river birch. The leaves of 'City Slicker' are dark green during the summer and turn yellow gold in fall. It has an oval to rounded form.

NATIVE! Betula nigra River Birch Dura-Heat. One of the best cultivars for the south. It is a vigorous river birch with better summer heat and drought tolerance, superior insect and disease resistance and better foliage than others in the species. A fast growing, medium sized tree that adds ornamental interest to a landscape. Dura-Heat has the beautiful creamy, white exfoliating bark for which river birch is known, ans adds and variety in a garden or wooded area by providing white, branching contrast against dark green foliage in summer. Leaves turn yellow in autumn. Dura-Heat also has winter interest with its airy branching.
