New in Stock Nursery Plants November 2011

Loropetalum 'Ever Red'
This is the latest in Loropetalum . . . 'Ever Red'! I have personally witnessed this plant withstand terrible winters and hot summers and maintain it's deep purplish-black foliage ALL YEAR LONG! AND on top of all of that it is the first Loropetalum to have RED flowers . . . true RED flowers! I have no doubt that it will replace all other varieties as the top seller.
And on top of this beauty is a soon to be released relative . . . 'Crimson Fire'! A new dwarf that is scheduled to be released to growers during early 2012!!! And we're excited . . . 'Crimson Fire' has proven itself to be a true dwarf (only 18" tall after 3 years) and WAY more cold tolerant than the varieties currently available.
Come check out 'Ever Red' . . . it's worth the trip! And rest assured that we will keep you posted on the status of 'Crimson Fire'!

Ninebark 'Little Devil'
It's new! And it's generating a fair amount of enthusiasm among the native plant lovers! It's 'Little Devil' Ninebark!!! A new purple foliaged and dwarf variety growing to 3'-4' that should perform extremely well in our area!
'Little Devil' is very hard to kill and has shown amazing tolerant to nearly every situation imaginable other than wet soils . . . which generally isn't a problem around here!
And it is our understanding that the summer flowers are quite attractive to a wide range of insects . . . most enjoyable of which are butterflies! A sure fire hit in your yard . . . use it as a specimen plant or in small groupings just about anywhere in your yard.

Rabbiteye Blueberry
Rabbiteye Blueberry bushes have arrived and are only $14 . . . not to mention they are an amazing size . . . just look how much larger they are than the 3 gallon pot they are in! Varieties in our nursery include 'Premier', 'Powderblue', 'Brightwell', and 'Austin'.
And we have also replenished our supply of 'Pink Lemonade' Blueberries as they are selling quickly. That's the new hybrid blueberry with pink berries and a strong dose of the Rabbiteye genome in them!

Pomegranate 'Purple Sunset'
This is the newly released 'Purple Sunset' Pomegranate . . . a dwarf form with unique style! Loaded with orange trumpet like blooms from spring to summer and carrying fruits through the fall this neat dwarf plant is ideal for a porch container! A true conversation piece!
Furthermore, 'Purple Sunset' has proven to be hardy to somewhere between 0 and 10 degrees in the winter. And we have been fortunate to have witnessed the birth of this plant throughout the winters in the ground near Athens . . . thus being able to verify its cold tolerance.
This is year another fun collectors plant . . . right up there with Edgeworthia . . . but totally different!
Ilex verticillata - Winterberry Holly
A great native shrub for winter interest, winterberry holly is a deciduous variety which has small clusters of white flowers in spring which develop into beautiful red berries during the fall. The berries remain on the stems after the leaves have fallen, adding a spot of color throughout winter and into early spring . . . that is unless the Cedar Waxwings find them!
The bright red berries also make phenomenal accents for winter wreaths or indoor arrangements in your home. And if the stems are kept OUT OF WATER the berries will stay on the branches for months at a time!!! A dandy little feature we believe you will enjoy! :)
Winterberry holly is perfectly at home in the difficult to plant wet areas of your landscape, but also quite content in more typical sites as well. A plant that every yard ought to contain!!!
