Knockout Roses!

Double Red - Knockout Rose.  Full blooms with a petal count of 25!

'Ruby' Meidiland -  a new variety of low growing (~ 24 inches tall) and repeat blooming rose with cherry red blooms in clusters! Beautiful!!!

 

 

 

 

Trees

PawpawPawpaw - Asimina parviflora.  Small native tree, easy to grow. Produces edible fruit. Pawpaw will tolerate some shade and is a worthwhile tree solely for it's unique large droopy sleepy foliage and bright yellow fall color.

 

American Yellowwood - Cladrastis kentukea Limited supply! A hard to find native tree, medium size and easy to grown in average,  well-drained soil in full sun. Beautiful flowers in May. Yellowood is an excellent, low maintenance, small shade tree for residential landscapes.

Blooming Now!

Summersweet - Clethra alnifolia 'Ruby Spice'. A trouble free, native shrub which produces HIGHLY fragrant rose pink flowers in July and August when little else is blooming. Summersweet is overly attractive to butterflies, making it the perfect low maintenance shrub for great fragrance and the butterfly garden. Also has a glowing yellow fall color! Grow in part shade, moist soil. Being a native plant, Clethara tolerates our Georgia clay soil well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blooming Now!

Chaste Tree 'Shoal Creek' - Vitex agnus-castus. A small tree which is best grown in full sun. Chaste tree is drought tolerant and trouble free, producing lilac flowers. Under high nutrition lowering can be induced initially in June and then again in August and lightly a third time in October . . . when a bit of color is needed in your landscape! The flowers are highly attractive to butterflies!

 

 

 

 

 

Small Landscape Trees

Serviceberry 'Autumn Brilliance' - Amelanchier arborea 'Autumn Brilliance'. A small native tree with spring blooming white flowers. Attractive blue black berries in fall are craved by birds . . . and people too! Often described as better than blueberries!!!Serviceberry is a must for the wildlife garden. Easily grown in average, well drained soil in full sun to part shade. Beautiful bright red fall color.

 

 

 

 

 

Weeping Eastern Redbud - Cercis canadensis 'Covey'. An easy to grow  native tree, prefers medium moisture, well drained soil in full sun to part shade. Clusters of small, lavender pink flowers in spring. Weeping Eastern Redbud should be staked and trained to desired height. Generally between 6 to 10 feet or you can keep it as short as you wish! Staking will create a dense umbrella shaped crown and classic weeping form. The unique, twisting branch shape provides fantastic winter interest! A very cool plant!!!
