CATCH & RELEASE

fishing, fishing, fishing

As the waters warm in the spring and the fish become more active our catch and release fishing pond opens to anglers of all sizes!  Our pond is stocked with three species of fish (sunfish, catfish, and largemouth bass) and depending on your preference you may wish to target one of these or just take what you can get!  This arrangement of fish species was selected to develop a well balanced food chain that provides our fish with ample food while also establishing a wide range of sizes within each species.  As we carefully work to maintain a healthy population of fish and a safe family environment we ask that you observe the following guidelines when fishing on our farm.

PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING FACILITIES AND GUIDELINES WHEN FISHING:
  • Catch and release fishing for bass, bream, and catfish.
  • Please do not use aquatic bait (i.e. - minnows, crayfish, underwater insects, etc.) as diseases may be inadvertently introduced.
  • We ask that you use barbless hooks to reduce injury to the fish.
  • Bathrooms and picnic tables available for use.
  • As our farm caters to families we ask that you bring only non-alcoholic beverages.
FISHING DAYS & HOURS:

Fishing beings in early April and lasts through the summer.  The cost is $10 per rod and you are welcome to fish as long as they are biting!  While we do provide the pond and the fish we do not supply fishing rods or bait.  Please provide your own pole and bait . . . or you may pick up the "Kinsey Family Farm Combo" at Hammond's Fishing.  For more information about the combo please call 770-888-6898.
